Vastu structures are the rudiments of each construction; one must follow Vastu from the initial level i.e. from choosing a plot, to shift in the house. Everything could be done as per the standards of Vastu since Vastu is not merely a word, rather it is a Science and a scaffold among man and nature. Vastu is such a profound science, that it is a pool of data and one can have any questions cleared with appropriate thinking.
Though, A Green building is a building project that would permit us to protect the vast majority of the indigenous habitat around the task site, while as yet having the option to deliver a structure to serve a purpose. The construction and operation will promote a healthy environment for all involved, and it will not disrupt the land, water, resources, and energy in and around the building.
In this day and age, we hear everyone talking about going green. This is on the grounds that at the rate we are going, the earth is simply not sustainable. This means that over the years, we will start to come up short on certain characteristic assets that are required with the end goal for us to endure. That is alarming to some people, which is why there are so many people that focus on green buildings.
Also, Vastu is one of the most ancient sciences of Indian architecture and is composed of specific rules, regulations, and directions, set down by sages of the Vedic times. For modern society, it is a highly evolved comprehensive building philosophy. Throughout the years, individuals have truly developed to utilize Vastu Shastra for a superior life. They have started to appreciate the concept a lot.
Vastu Shastra is an ancient philosophy towards architecture whereas Green buildings are the modern philosophy towards architecture. Prior, people used to have more horizontal growth, but later on, due to the increase in population density and lack of habitable land to live in; vertical development appeared, which further brought the idea of Green Buildings.
With the developing enthusiasm of individuals towards Vastu Shastra and the need for sustainable designs and Green architecture in this modern era of limited resources, there is a critical need to see if these two ways of thinking can be consolidated together and utilized in a solitary structure or not, for a superior life.

By comparing and analyzing the basic design principles of Vastu Shastra and Green Buildings it is observed that theoretically, both the philosophies talk about the general orientation and directions. It is observed that more than 60% of the parameters are based on the same design principles in both cases
Be it from the foundation part to the boundary walls, more than half of the design principles are based on the same logic, thus it can be that almost 60%-70% of the design parameters overlap with each other
Likewise, if we design a building according to the principles of Vastu Shastra and Green buildings, the construction and maintenance cost of the building is also reduced, as these design principles focus more on utilizing common methods for light and ventilation, with protecting the assets and reusing them at whatever point conceivable
This further brings us to the conclusion that the design principles of Vastu Shastra are relevant to the design principles of the Green buildings. Thus, both the ancient and the modern approach of design towards architecture is based on the same grounds up to some extent.
